Dr Julian Sze - Principal Veterinarian
Julian graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000. Her love of travel and curiosity of all things different led her to spending time working overseas in Hong Kong and the United Kingdom as well as in her home town of Melbourne.
She gained Membership to the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the Small Animal Medicine Chapter in 2007 and rejoined Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital in January 2011.
Julian lives with her partner and Victa, their 5 year old Domestic short hair cat, who travelled the northern hemisphere with them. Julian spends her spare time experimenting with new cuisines, learning Ashtanga yoga and training for the Melbourne marathon (when she's not traipsing the world)!
Dr Ivan Lee - Veterinarian
Ivan graduated form Murdoch University, Perth, with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in 2006. He spent his first few years in a practice in regional Victoria before deciding that it was time to move on. When the chance arose to join Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital it was too good an opportunity to turn down.
Ivan enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery and is looking forward to meeting and working with the Pascoe Vale community. While relishing the new challenges ahead, Ivan also enjoys quiet and quality time at home with his partner and two lovely cats, Pepper and Sugar, who he hand-reared from when they were only two days old.
Dr Amy Sledziona - Veterinarian
Amy was born and raised in Wodonga in North East Victoria and moved to Melbourne in 2003 to study Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne where she graduated in 2009. Amy spent her first year as a veterinarian living in Canberra and working at the Canberra Veterinary Hospital. However, Amy soon became homesick for Melbourne so she returned to Melbourne to live in January 2011 and started work at Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital.
Amy lives with her 2 year old black Labrador named Tori. Tori loves meeting people and playing with other dogs. Outside of work, Amy enjoys being fit - going running and exercising at the gym regularly. Amy loves going to the movies and going to cafes and restaurants with friends. Amy is interested in politics, current affairs and is passionate about social justice and environment issues.
Miranda Turner - Head Veterinary Nurse
Working at Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital since 1993, Miranda is an integral part of the team. She loves the challenge of managing a busy clinic while still taking the time to get to know all the pets. Miranda is kept just as busy at home with her two children plus chocolate Labrador Rosie and Tabby Missy.
Denise Frazzetto - Veterinary Receptionist
Denise has worked with us for more than twenty years. She originally trained in 1974 as a veterinary nurse. Denise has been the 'face' of the clinic at reception for many years now and has developed a special bond with many clients and their pets. Denise has three grown children, three gorgeous grandchildren, and two dogs named Totti and Marti.
Margaret - Veterinary Receptionist
Margaret was born in Melbourne and came to work with us over 20 years ago and hasn't forgotten a client or pet's name since. She lives with her husband and has two grown children, three beautiful grandchildren and Nikkita the cat.
Denise Sankovich - Veterinary Nurse
Born in Vancouver, Canada, Denise is a long converted Aussie who joined the team in December 2005. Having completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, Denise has special interests in pain management and weight management and she currently runs our Weight Loss Clinic. She is also one of our specialist Renal Nurses, helping pet owners with the special needs of their renal cats.
Denise has a menagerie at home of two lizards, two birds, a dog, a cat and not to be forgotten, two children.
Denise is temporarily taking on a veterinary nursing position at one of our sister clinics. She will return to Pascoe Vale Veterinary Hospital in late 2012.
Katherine Jordan - Veterinary Nurse
Katherine is a country born girl whose childhood pets included horses, cats and dogs. She is currently the proud mum of a young Burmese named "Manny". Katherine has been in the nursing industry for approximately four years and is currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Katherine is also involved with our Weight Loss Clinic and one of our specialist Renal Nurses.
Melissa Hanlon - Veterinary Nurse
Melissa is now a full-time member of the Pascoe Vale team and has also recently commenced her studies toward her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Ever since doing work experience at the Lost Dogs Home while in school, Melissa has wanted to follow a career path of working with animals. Melissa grew up with a variety of animals, from a Jack Russell and a Cockatoo to Guinea Pigs. Melissa currently has canaries and a Koolie named Diesel.
Stephe Egger - Veterinary Nurse
Born and raised in Melbourne, Stephe joined our team in March 2011, having recently spent 12 months working in a large veterinary clinic in Canberra, ACT. Having previously worked in a variety of jobs in the Animal Industry, she has now realised that veterinary nursing is her calling in life!
Stephe lives with her Jack Russell named Finn, three cats and four pet rats - Alaska, Chaos, Kamikaze and Willow. She has a keen interest in rats, exotics, and dogs of all breeds! Stephe is a member of the Jack Russell Lure Racing Club of Victoria and she also enjoys country music, rodeos, karaoke, reading, and long walks with her dog, Finn.
Nicole Pilkington - Veterinary Nurse
Once one of our locum nurses, Nicole has returned to Pasoce Vale Veterinary Hospital on a part-time basis. She has two young children and a cat named "Fluff" to keep her busy all week. Nicole has many years of experience as a veterinary nurse and we are grateful to have her as part of the team.
Jackie C - Veterinary Nurse
Jackie, a born and bred local girl, has been with the team for many years. She has completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and loves all facets of veterinary nursing. With two young children at home, Jackie has returned from maternity leave to work on a part-time basis. She also has two other much larger family members, her Bouviers Zeus and Chewy.
